On 11 May 2019 the vice-chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia, Dr. Asma Ismail, visited Shiraz University of Technology and had a meeting with the board of direction. During this meeting an MOU was signed between Shiraz University of Technology and Universiti Sains Malaysia to expand the scientific collaboration.
