A workshop entitled “Towards the Third Generation Universities (Entrepreneur Universities)” was held on 24 October 2018 in Shiraz University of Technology. The workshop was presented by Dr. Iraj Nabipour, an academic member of the Persian Gulf University of Medical Sciences, at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in coordination with the university Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs and the Elite Foundation of Fars Province. The principle of the transition from the first to the third generation universities was reviewed and presented. In this workshop, the role of universities, particularly in terms of industrial relations, was discussed and the criteria of an entrepreneur university were investigated.
