Dr. Ardalan Aarabi is an academic member at the University of Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens, France, and his interests include the quantitative analysis of brain dynamics and functions under pathological and physiological conditions in adults and neonates. On 2nd of August 2017 he presented a speed for the academic members and postgraduate students of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Shiraz University of Technology.
In the past decade, he has been developing data analysis approaches to explore changes in brain states in epileptic patients. His research in recent years includes investigation of functional connectivity patterns of brain networks in epileptic and healthy subjects, development of methods for estimation of hemodynamic response function of interictal epileptiform discharges, and the application of finite element methods to investigate the effect of head model errors on EEG forward and inverse modeling in neonates.
