Currently there are 3 faculty members in photonics group with associate professor and assistant professor academic ranks, conducting research in the are of optics and photonics. Groups areas of interest include:
- Fiber Optics and Nonlinear Effects
- Quantum Dots and Nano Photonics
- Nonlinear Optics and Lasers
- Fiber Amplifiers and Devices
- Beam and Pulse Propagation
- Terahertz Photonics
- Photonic Nanowires
- Photonic Crystals and Metamaterials
- Graphene photonics and optoelectronics
As photonics group has been established before other groups of Physics Department, its graduated students are currently serving many educational and industrial institutions nationwide. Group’s labs include Laser and optics Lab and nano Lab.
