Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary filed of advanced engineering which refers to a multi-technological approach for integration of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, and computer science. The department of Mechatronics Engineering is one of the most active research groups in the faculty of Mechanical Engineering focusing on the advanced technologies pertaining to intelligent machines. The department currently has four faculty members including three associate professors and one assistant professor two of which are from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and two from Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The research activities involve advanced mechatronics systems, design and control of intelligent robotic systems, advanced dynamic and energetic systems, nonlinear oscillators and vibrations, advanced instrumentation and measurement methods, renewable energy systems, artificial intelligence, machine vision and machine learning, modeling and system identification, intelligent and advanced automatic control etc.
