The best Thesis Award of the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME) in Applied Mechanics category was awarded to Mr. Shahryar Zare, the graduate student of the department of Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. AR Tavakolpour-Saleh. In this thesis, an advanced free piston Stirling engine namely SUTech-SR-1 was designed, developed and evaluated for the first time in Iran. The findings of this eminent research work have been published in several high-impact international journals as well.
