Physical Chemistry is a branch of chemistry concerned with the application of the techniques and theories of physics to the study of chemical systems. Physical chemistry group was established in Shiraz University of Technology, soon after opening of the university.
This research group undertakes researches in the main areas of Thermodynamics, Statistical Thermodynamics, Quantum chemistry, Spectroscopy, Molecular dynamics simulation and Computational Chemistry. Currently there are three full time faculty members in this research group with full Professor and Associate professor academic ranks.
There is one well equipped research laboratory, available to the post-graduate (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) students, for their research projects. For details on the research interests of group faculty members, please check their personal home pages.
