Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering group, as of three major disciplines in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Shiraz University of Technology, is home to five academic staff and about 35 graduate students with strong commitment to research, education, and practice. Our program provides a solid background in almost all main areas of geotechnical engineering including:
- Soil and Rock Mechanics
- Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Liquefaction
- Experimental Soil Mechanics
- Numerical Methods in Geotechnical Engineering
- Constitutive Modeling of Soil Behavior
- Reliability in Geotechnical Engineering
- Unsaturated Soil Mechanics
- Dam Engineering
- Environmental Geotechnics
We are confident that prospective students will find the experience at the Geotechnical Engineering group very rewarding.
