Software Defined Networks Laboratory

Software Defined Networks (SDN) Laboratory has been established in 2013 with the aim of providing an infrastructure for Studying and researching in this new field. In this laboratory, it is possible to arrange different SDN topologies using OpenFlow hardware switches, and software based Opendaylight and Floodlight controllers for different studies.

In the SDN Laboratory, graduate and postgraduate students are able to manage network using software programming.

The head of the SDN Lab is Dr. Reza Javidan.

In this lab there are the following instruments:

3 Hardware switches: HP3500 and HP3600 with supporting OpenFlow 1.0 and 1.3

5 Computer Desktop Systems which can be programmed as software open v switches or other Controllers
