Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory

Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory has been established with the aim of providing an infrastructure for Studying and researching for hardware parallel processing. In this laboratory, the graduate and postgraduate students of Computer System Architecture field are able to perform the following experiments:

  • Implementation of parallel hardware architecture through FPGA boards.
  • Multi core programming
  • Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) programming
  • Multithread Programming

The head of this lab is Dr. Shamsinezhad.

Instruments:

  • 2 FPGA programming boards with XILINX Spartan 6
  • 3 Desktop Computers with 8 cores for multi core programming
  • 4 fast graphic GPU cards with the aim of multithreading programming
